This post isn’t roulette related but thought I would add it to the blog anyways. I saw a few Star Trek movies lately that were very good. One was Star Trek: Nemesis and the other was Star Trek: First Contact. Both of them are based on the series of Next Generation with Captain Picard, Data, Riker, Geordi, Worf and those guys.
Which one does everyone like? I thought First Contact was probably the greatest movie ever made in the Star Trek franchise. Nemesis sucked only because Data got killed at the end, even though a new Data was there with all his original memories. It was a good movie, but still…
Also, I think Next Generation was the best series followed by “Enterprise” and then “Voyager”. Deep Space 9 was probably my least favorite, but I haven’t seen this series at all lately in the re-runs. I’m surprised this show has been off the air for so long without ANY re-runs being shown in years as far as I know. Though it’s kind of a close between Enterprise and Voyager. I’m not sure which of these two are better though.
The latest Star Trek movie with a younger Spock and Captain kirk sucked I thought! This was probably one of the worst films made in the franchise because of the story line. For anyone who is a true Star Trek fan, it was a huge middle finger to the fans because the planet Vulcan was destroyed, which was always there in the original series. That just screwed everything up in the time line. Not to mention the fact that no one in future came in to stop the time traveling disaster according to the Temporal Accords agreements made throughout the series about having no one interfering with the timeline. The only way this can turn out good is if the “time police” come in and fix everything in a second movie like they talk about in the “Enterprise” series.
